Oh you who believed! It is not permitted to you to inherit the women against their will, and you don’t treat them harshly so that they may go away avoiding a part of what you have given to them except when they have been guilty of clear lewdness. And you live with them with justice even though you dislike them, if you dislike a thing, Allah may make plenty of goodness in it.
In the ignorant period, the widows of the deceased persons were considered as an asset for inheritance. That custom is strictly prohibited through this verse, and also it is not permissible to prevent such a woman from marrying other persons if she likes to do so. It is also ordained to the believers to avoid the anti-Islamic customs like torturing women to give back their dowry given to them fully or partially.
Since today the Three-Time Knowledge-Adhikr which explains everything as told in verse 16: 89 is codified, anyone can understand the good and evil by utilizing It. But making their food 'rejecting Adhikr', the nine hundred and ninety-nine are the Arabic Quran reading Fujjar who are following twenty-nine pseudo-prophets and hurrying for the thirtieth pseudo-prophet Antichrist. They are compared to that of a dog that will not change its attitude whether disturbed or not as explained in verses 7: 175-176. They are carrying Lord's Book as a burden carrying donkey as told in verse 62: 5.
Only one in a thousand becomes a believer who will judge his individual, family, and social life with Adhikr as explained in verses 5: 44, 45, and 47. See explanation 2: 231-232 and 3: 112.
